Rating: High Five!

Who I'd Recommend to: Fan's of the Legends of Zero, Renegades, and the Outer Bounds series.

Synopsis (from Amazon): Conan was an ordinary working student until he "died."
He suddenly awoke with his body completely changed. The boy now has metal for skin, metal for flesh and bone, and hands that grow guns. Now Conan is a mechanical monster, and a superpowered one at that.
While his memory fails to tell him how he became this way, he sees that he can make a difference around him. There are plenty of criminals roaming the streets now. Why should he waste such gifts?
Conan cannot begin to imagine what consequences lie ahead...

Thoughts: This book is superb. I love, love this book. I love how in Gladiator, Joshua Chou made you think you knew the plot when really you didn't. For example, around the end of the book you're thinking, "I know what's going to happen." However, in one page you realize everything you've been thinking is wrong. I also love how everything about the main character's past is so hidden and cloaked right until the point Joshua reveals it, and then everything about his past makes sense. Another thing that I love about Gladiator is the action sequences. I've read thousands of action sequences, thousands of battles, however the battles and action sequences in Gladiator are some of the best. Overall, I love this superb, fantastic battles book.

NOTE: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a review. All thoughts are my own.
