Fav Quote: (coming soon)
Summary (from Amazon):
It's been a year since Septimus Heap discovered his real family and true calling to be a wizard. As Apprentice to Extra Ordinary Wizard Marcia Overstrand, he is learning the fine arts of Conjurations, Charms, and other Magyk, while Jenna is adapting to life as the Princess and enjoying the freedom of the Castle.

But there is something sinister at work. Marcia is constantly trailed by a menacing Darke Shadow, and Septimus's brother Simon seems bent on a revenge no one understands. Why is the Darke Magyk still lingering?

This review is a review of both books 1 and 2 of Septimus Heap, Magyk (1) and Flyte (2).

My Thoughts:  I liked these books a lot! One thing I loved about this book was how everyone had a nice sense of humor and the author misspelled things (like Magyk vs. Magic, or Flyte vs. Flight). For example, the spells and "magyk" that Marcia did were hilarious. Septimus (spoiler alert - Boy 421) was my favorite character because he was really funny, courageous... actually, this series is hard to review because some books you just like, but you don't know why - there's no explanation for it. So maybe I should just say how much I loved this book - it's one of my favorites! The characters, the humor, the magyk... everything! This is one of those books that you read and enjoy to the fullest at that moment, but are left with little thoughts about it at the end. Plus, I thought the illustrations at the beginning of each chapter were a nice addition. Overall, one of my favorite books, and I'm literally left without words.
